"Things to Love about San Francisco"
I fell in love at an early age. Not with a person or a thing, but with a place - San Francisco. This love affair began during the Sunday drives I took with my family with tunes of Andy Williams "Can't Stop Loving You" playing in the background. Growing up, we would spend Sunday's touring all the famous San Francisco landmarks: The Japanese Tea Garden, Coit Tower, Chinatown and of course we'd drive down Lombard, the crookedest street in SF.
Sometimes we'd park the car and hop on the cable car for a ride up the steepest hills! The afternoon would always end with a treat on Union Square - Blum's famous toffee crunch cake. Yum! I also remember stopping at St. Francis Fountain, Mitchell's & Swensens all of which are still open today! San Francisco offers so much history, a variety of cultures, romance & more, but there are also so many new places and things to fall in love with! |
